We had a productive time at the NEC, Birmingham for Advanced Engineering 2018 where we got the opportunity to meet with potential & existing customers, suppliers, and fellow composite manufacturers.
As the UK’s largest annual manufacturing trade show, Advanced Engineering 2018 celebrated its 10th edition this year. No other event reacts so quickly every year to the dynamic changes that are happening right now within composite engineering and manufacturing.
We showcased a prototype VTOL drone that we developed in conjunction with VTOL Technologies Ltd. We are very excited about the prospect of manufacturing this state-of-the-art drone with clients such as the NHS, the MOD and the Highway Agency. The drones will be capable of flying up to 100km in distance collecting engineering survey data from linear assets and infrastructure such as roads, railways, overhead lines operating in the air for up to 1½ hours.
Our Sales & Engineering Director – Henry Nicholson-Cole, gave an insightful presentation on how we successfully manufactured three unique 14m long canopies for the One Blackfriars development in Central London. This project called for us to build the canopies to look like polished metal features, but were lightweight and robust enough to withstand the harsh environmental conditions.
We would like to thank everyone that visited us at Advanced Engineering 2018 and look forward to seeing you next year.
