Successful & Prosperous 2020 - NORCO Composites & GRP
Mark Northey & Jim Stewart at Dorset Innovation Park.

I would like to take a moment at the end of the year to thank colleagues, customers and suppliers for your loyalty and support over the past twelve months. I recognise we wouldn’t be where we are without the contributions made by each and every one of you, and I am very appreciative of this… Thank You.

2019 has been a year of development, expansion and growth for NORCO. We won a significate long-term defence contract that has enabled the construction of a new facility in Winfrith. We have a great deal of confidence that this new secure facility will bring new and exciting opportunities to all areas of the business in the coming years.

In 2019, we were proud to have supplied The Royal Navy with the first instalment of workboats. This contract has proved to be a huge success and demonstrates our ability to deliver on-time and to specification.

From the investment of our new 5 Axis CNC Centre, we now offer a complete in-house manufacturing solution from CAD to component. As opportunities continue to emerge, our capacity to manufacture a job from start to finish internally will attract more customers looking for that level of control.

My personal goal in 2020 will be to give GRP more focus and ensure we have a Sales, Engineering & Management Team who can win, support and deliver a more diverse range of projects. It is now time to get GRP back to the level of success we all saw for so many years.
For certain, we know exciting and challenging times await NORCO in 2020, but more than ever we are confident with the team, culture and enthusiasm we have – NORCO has never been better placed to meet these times.

Starting in the New Year, we have a fantastic opportunities with 15 or more new and existing clients and the engineering team are developing these relationships and working hard to ensure progress and orders within the first quarter of 2020. Projections for both Composites and GRP in 2020 are for strong controlled growth.

Amidst all these developments, our primary focus will be to build on the foundations of the business. We will continue to ensure delivery of quality structures, improved service and innovation in every market sector we operate, heralding a new era which we are confident will have a positive impact on the business, as well as the composites industry.

Have a restful and happy holiday season with your family and friends. I look forward to working with you all in the New Year and wish you a successful and prosperous 2020.
