To mark National Apprenticeship Week 2026, we are celebrating the impact that apprenticeships have on career development at Norco Composites & GRP.
Across our engineering teams, apprentices combine academic study with hands-on experience, allowing them to build recognised qualifications alongside real-world skills. This blend of learning and practical application helps develop confidence, deepen technical understanding, and create meaningful opportunities for progression.
Eddie Cuttelle, a Manufacturing Engineer, highlights the value of hands-on learning alongside formal study:
“Alongside my role as a Manufacturing Engineer, my apprenticeship is helping deepen my understanding of a wider variety of manufacturing processes. The degree apprenticeship allows me to gain hands-on experience as an Engineer while expanding my skills and gaining qualifications, giving me more opportunities to grow within Norco.”
Eliot Smith, a Project Engineer, explains how his degree apprenticeship supports his development:
