Welcoming the Next Generation of Engineers to Norco

Norco recently welcomed a group of engineering students from Bournemouth & Poole College to our Poole facilities, as part of our ongoing commitment to developing the next generation of skilled engineers.

The visit was organised to give students studying T-Level Engineering qualifications the opportunity to explore what an industry placement with Norco could look like. Over the course of the tour, students were taken around three of our Poole sites, where they saw first-hand the breadth and complexity of work we undertake across our composites and GRP manufacturing operations.

From our Composites Centre to our CNC Centre, students got a genuine insight into the processes, materials, and precision engineering that go into delivering advanced structures for sectors including defence, aerospace, marine, and automotive.

The visit forms part of Norco’s wider recruitment pipeline strategy, and reflects our belief that engaging with young people early is essential, both for the future of our business and for the health of the UK engineering and manufacturing sector more broadly.

We were delighted to host the group and were impressed by the curiosity and enthusiasm shown throughout the day. We look forward to welcoming T-Level placement students in due course.
