Norco has welcomed a group of T Level students from Bournemouth and Poole College for a four-week industry placement, giving them valuable hands-on experience in composites, engineering and advanced manufacturing.

The students will spend time with the Norco team, learning more about how composite structures are designed, manufactured and delivered for sectors including defence, marine, aerospace and industrial applications.

During their placement, the students will gain insight into different areas of the business, including the processes, skills and teamwork involved in taking a project from initial concept through to finished product.

The placement forms part of Norco’s ongoing commitment to supporting local education, skills development and future talent within the engineering and manufacturing sector.

Elly Ruston, Head of People at Norco said:

“Supporting young people at the start of their careers is really important to us. T Level placements give students the opportunity to experience a real working environment, ask questions and develop practical knowledge that supports their studies. We’re pleased to welcome the students from Bournemouth and Poole College and look forward to seeing how they progress over the next four weeks.”

Norco continues to work with local schools, colleges and training providers to create opportunities for students to explore careers in composites, engineering and manufacturing.

Students or education providers interested in learning more about future placement opportunities with Norco are welcome to get in touch.
