Site Production Lead

The Site Production Lead is accountable for end‑to‑end delivery performance for all products manufactured at their facility. This includes achieving the confirmed orderbook, meeting the site sales target, and ensuring all work is delivered Right First Time, On Time, In Full. They provide daily leadership, management of all available resources, coordination, issue resolution and governance across all functions that influence delivery outcomes, acting as the senior on‑site authority.

• Reports to: Director of Operations
• Leads: All Site Production, Admin and Support Staff
• Influences: Local Quality, Local Purchasing, Group Functions that contribute to product delivery (Engineering, Commercial, Operations, Finance, HR)

Core Accountability

• • Delivery Performance: Ensure all products are delivered RFT, On Time, In Full
  • Sales Output: Own the site’s sales target and ensure labour, materials, equipment, subcontractors, free‑issue items, and internal operations are aligned to meet it.
  • Site Performance: Own production KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
  • Data Entry Discipline and Governance: Ensure all manufacturing data is recorded in accordance with group guidelines and cadence
  • Risk Management: Escalate risks immediately when they cannot be resolved or influenced locally

Manufacturing Data & Production Control

• Ensure all manufacturing data is completed, verified and compliant.
• Confirm materials bookings are accurate and timely.
• Develop and assure ERP usage disciplines
• Ensure timesheet data is complete, accurate, and meets expectation.

Production Control & Scheduling

• Align orderbook demand to Capacity.
• Ensure Works Orders are received and loaded to Production in line with the plan.
• Maintain the Production Schedule, Capacity Tracker and other control documents.
• Liaise with Engineering and Purchasing to ensure information and materials are available to meet delivery dates; escalate delays immediately.
• Confirm achievable delivery dates with customers and update SOs where required.
• Monitor progress at appropriate intervals, intervene early, and escalate when support is required.

Customer Liaison

• Provide customers with single point of contact for day to day communications.
• Coordinate customer‑supplied components, materials, services, and information.
• Manage customer collections.
• Communicate delivery risks, quality issues, or early‑delivery opportunities proactively.
• Escalate internally when customer‑side delays pose a risk to delivery.

Team Leadership & Development

• Provide clear daily, weekly, and monthly direction.
• Ensure teams have the tools, resources, and information required.
• Hold teams accountable for performance and behaviours.
• Coach, mentor, and support teams to achieve successful outcomes.
• Conduct regular one‑to‑ones and identify development, training, and promotion opportunities.

Health, Safety & Environment

• Ensure compliance with all group HSE standards.
• Ensure teams understand and observe PPE requirements, working‑at‑height and lifting protocols.
• Support HSE in promoting awareness, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Quality Responsibilities

• Champion best practice and challenge poor quality immediately.
• Support Quality with corrective actions, data collection, analysis, and improvement projects.
• Drive measurable improvements in RFT and COPQ.
