Norco’s dedicated CNC cutting centre recently completed a specialist project to cut and kit hypalon material for tube sets of a high-performance Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB). This work demonstrates our ability to deliver accurate, consistent, and production-ready hypalon kits for the marine sector, supporting faster assembly and reduced waste.
Background
A leading manufacturer of RIBs required precision-cut hypalon panels for a high-performance support vessel. With hypalon tube manufacturing being a specialist process, the project demanded accuracy, repeatability, and efficiency in material preparation.
Our Role
Norco was tasked with cutting and kitting all hypalon components ready for assembly. At our dedicated CNC cutting facility, we used advanced automated cutting machinery to ensure consistent, accurate shapes and minimise material waste.
Process
- Material Preparation – Hypalon sheets were prepared, secured, and accurately positioned for cutting.
- CNC Precision Cutting – Using our automated cutting table, each panel was cut to exact CAD specifications, ensuring perfect fit and seam alignment during tube assembly.
- Kitting for Assembly – All parts were organised, labelled, and packaged into complete kits, ready for direct use in production.
